Number Eaters Controls
A number / kids game - this is Numbers Eaters. The control scheme is very forgiving (and it should be since it's a kids game): (1) You can use the arrow keys - up, left, right, and down, to get the green guy moving. (2) Press the space bar button to eat your... well, how do I put this? Eat your equation. If you are not comfortable using your arrow keys and space bar button for playing, you can just click on the correct answer and the Green Guy will move to that square and munch on it automatically. That's about everything you need to keep in mind as far as controls go. Let's have a closer look at the game.
Number Eaters Walkthrough
A flash-based clone of the classic number's game Number Munchers - this is Number Eaters. As the name of the game suggests, you will deal with numbers and equations in this kids game. BUT don't worry, even if you are not too good at math, you should find this game enjoyable. Nah, it won't throw complex algebraic or geometric problems at you. Rather, you need to solve simple arithmetic problems... problems that even a 9 year old could solve, in this fast based flash game. BUT let me remind you, the purple monster is always out there to mess up your pleasant solving experience so be sure to keep an eye on him... AND steer clear from him!
To get the game rolling in the right direction, you should: (1) Choose The Arithmetic Subject: there are 5 options. You can go for addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, or fraction. (2) Choose Practice: now there is one BIG flaw in this game, there are no instructions! So if you want to get a feel and know how the game goes, choose Practice (and, of course, read this tutorial) and play a game of Number Eaters without that pesky purple monster who always goes after you. (3) Choose Play: if you think you are good enough to play a game of Number Eaters even with the purple monster around and if you know how the game goes, pick this option.
So how do you play a game of Number Eaters? Once you are in the game, you will see a grid that has different equations depending on the arithmetic you chose. If you choose addition, you will see addition formulas (ex. 2 + 2). If you pick subtraction, then you will see subtraction formulas / problems (ex. 2 - 2). I'm sure you get my drift. Now, on the top left corner of the game, you will find the answer like 'Sum of 2'. Now, your task is to go to the square which has the formula which gives you the 'Sum of 2' (as in our example). '2 + 0', '0 + 2', '1 + 1' - these are just some of the examples and the list goes on. You win the round by munching on all the squares that satisfy the condition given. Now, remember, the purple monster is always out to get you so you need to be extra careful - munch on those squares / formulas without getting caught.
Being a number / kids game, I really don't expect it to be a masterpiece in terms of graphics and sound track. BUT there's one suggestion I have in mind: the animation. If they can make it smoother, things would be so much better. Aside from that, this kids game is recommended. It's entertaining and educating especially for kids.
